Despite the weather not being ideal, I still enjoyed the lodge's facilities, especially the secret garden that the children loved. the owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice on what to see and do. the cottage we stayed in was quaint and beautifully decorated, making our stay even more enjoyable. the welcoming host and overall hospitality at the lodge were top-notch. I definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the future. 👍.

We stayed at De Poort Country Lodge for a few nights and enjoyed our stay immensely. The lodge is beautifully located in a valley, surrounded by nature, making it the perfect spot for exploring the nearby Swartberg pass. The apartment we stayed in was lovely and well-equipped, offering stunning views. The whole complex is thoughtfully designed with a nice little pool and a beautiful garden. The hosts, especially Elna, were friendly and professional, providing us with helpful recommendations and ensuring we had a delightful time. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We loved the comfortable beds and private veranda with a braai area. the breakfast served outside as room service was delicious. the pool and garden were awesome. the hostess, Elna, was professional, warm, and sweet. She provided detailed information on what to see and where to eat. the lodge had several private areas for braai, and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. the attention to detail was impressive, with different colored napkins for breakfast. the location was convenient for visiting attractions like the Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch.
